Q:
I am attempting to do some research on making a water powered battery... For one i wanted to know if it was possible witch i think it is. Then i wanted to know if possible could you use the same water source to supply multiple cells, and what would be the best materials.

A:
There really isn't any water-powered battery. Water is already in the chemically stable form under ordinary conditions. Thus it won't convert to something else and release energy, unlike fuels or the materials in a charged battery. I suppose you could use water in a reaction with something else (sodium?) to generate energy and power an electrical circuit, but really the scarce material we'd think of as "powering" the battery would be something besides the plentiful water.
