Heat Insulators

I have to take a 8 oz. milk carton and make it so that I can put an ice cube in it and it will melt very slow. also this milk carton will be sitting by heat, so I need to know what kind of insulators I could use so that I can slow down the melting prosess without conducting any heat. What insulators could I use?

Styrofoam is a very nice thermal insulator, and it doesn’t get soggy.
