Q:
Why were the batteries named triple A and double A, when they could've been called A and B (followed by C and D)? Whomever named them did so inconsistently.
If they really liked the As, they could've called them: AAAA, AAA, AA and A. (quad A, triple A, double A (instead of C), single A (instead of D).
