Q:
Hi! i just want to ask some question about this new fuel cell you can split up water into hydrogen and oxygen through electrolysis but how does it generates electricity? and do you have some tips of making one cos i want to convert my car to use hydrogas

A:
Xoa- Thats an important question, because there has been a lot of
loose talk from politicians making it sound like we can substitute
hydrogen for fossil fuels.
You can use electrical energy to separate water into hydrogen and oxygen. That doesnt generate electrical power but instead uses it up.
You can then recombine the hydrogen and oxygen in a fuel cell to make electrical energy. The amount you make will ALWAYS be LESS than the amount you initially put in to make the hydrogen. Thats due to the laws of thermodynamics, which cannot be repealed by any government.
