De-ionized or Distilled Water for Batteries?

Most recent answer: 07/14/2008

Q:
I use deep cycle batteries for my solar an wind power system. Where I work I have access to ultra pure deionized water with a resistivity of about 17 megohms. How does this compare to distilled water that you would find at the grocery store and what impact would it have if used in deep cycle batteries? Thanks, Justin

A:
Either one should work equally well.
