If electricity travels from one electrode to another in a vacumn, does it travel at the speed of light?

Electric current in vacuum tubes, for example radio tubes or TV tubes, is actually carried by electrons.  Electrons, having mass, travel far slower than the speed of light at the typical voltages involved.
