We've already answered a number of questions about different things that can affect how tennis balls bounce. You can find them by going to the Making Stuff Move: Bouncing, Bumping, and Crashing section of this list.

For actual research, I'd say that the best place to look is with a company that designs and makes tennis balls. That's because in order to make the best possible tennis balls, they have to do a lot of research about exactly what it is that makes the balls bounce the way they do. So they will probably have any info that you could want. A company that has helped us out with questions before is the Wilson Sporting Goods Company. You can use the "Contact Us" button on their website to send them an email.

Good luck!
