A:
Dear Aimee,
Some of my favorite physics concepts are seen in everyday things that you can find pictures of just about anywhere.
Some examples are:
1)
Newton's 3rd law (action and reaction): Look at a rocket blasting off,
for example the space shuttle. There are nice pictures on the web at
http://kosmoi.com/Pictures/Space/Shuttle/ 2) Centripetal acceleration: Look at a roller coaster or many other amusement park rides that go "round and round".
There are some great pictures on the web at
http://www.coastergallery.com/ 3)
Gravity: Look at the motion of the planets in our solar system: Check
out http://www.anu.edu.au/Physics/solarsystem/homepage.htm
These
are just some examples...just about everything you can think of has to
do with physics and science. If you have any other ideas and want to
look for pictures for those, try
Google
… just type in the name of whatever you are looking for and you will
probably find that someone has nice pictures on the web that you can
download.
