could it be possible for a bird to be large enough to carry a person?

A:
Yup, it is possible for people to ride on the backs of emus and
ostriches -- but the bird has to be really big and the person has to be
rather small. I don't know of any bird that can fly with a person
(although some largeish birds of prey can carry some pounds of fish or
rodents).
