How does the tympanic membrane vibrate differently when the amplitude is changed?

Changing the amplitude is the same as saying that the membrane will vibrate more. Not necessarily any faster or slower, but each time it moves it will go further in each direction. The bigger the amplitude of the tympanic membrane’s vibration, the louder the sound.
