I’m doing a history day project on the effect of the transistor on international life and communication. Please send me any information about life before and after the invention of the transistor. Also, please answer the following question: in your opinion, what was the single most important outcome from the invention of the transistor? If my group decides to use your response, we will need an adequate amount of information to credit you for the statement. Great question! I personally don't know that much about
transistors, but I'll give you a couple of websites to look at. The
first one is a short biography of
John Bardeen, one of the people responsible for developing the transistor. The second website is PBS's site for their documentary called
"Transistorized!".
You will be able to find history and other information at this website.
If you can find the documentary itself, I highly recommend watching it.
