According to a survey I found whose origin was uncited, high schoolers
get about 7 hours of sleep per night, despite the fact that experts
recommend 9.
From my experience, college students sleep whenever they can. When
I was on the UIUC campus, there was always somebody sleeping in one of
the halls. It's perhaps a consequence of the studying and the tests and
the like.
I did a little research, since I bet you want a better answer than my anecodal responce and found this article:

Apparently, there is a direct correlation in the article between
sleep and GPA, such that sleep helps one get a better GPA. Nothing is
for sure, but it is an interesting (if not intuitive) conclusion.
