Dear Suhas,
Firefighters wear helmets to protect their heads
from stuff that falls from burning buildings. It is not necessary that
their helmets are shiny...in fact where I live the firemen wear helmets
that are not shiny at all. If the firemen wear shiny helmets where you
are, it might be because it makes them easier to see, (or perhaps they
just think it looks nice).
