Does the recent discovery of gravity waves, presumably from two circling black holes, provide proof of cosmic inflation at the time of the Big Bang?

No, not at all. An early claimed observation of gravity waves left from inflation turned out to be mistaken. We're hoping that some new observation will either find those type of waves or show that there aren't enough to be consistent with inflation, but the data aren't clean enough yet.
