Intermittent Penlight

I have this penlight that uses a 2 triple A batteries, sometimes it works but mostly it didn't. What should I do to fix it? Batteries are okay also the bulb. But I noticed that the spring that is connected to the bulb is somewhat deformed. Is there a possibility that it is the problem? What should I do if it is the problem?

Certainly a bad spring is a likely problem. Maybe you can stretch it out a bit, or add another little piece of metal, or replace it.
