Citing This Website
Most recent answer: 10/22/2007
Q:
One of my students cited a page from in his science fair bibliography, without sufficient information. In my effort to check his work, I backtracked to your main page, and found others' questions about citations, as well as your disclaimer to "searchers for truth." It would be VERY helpful - at least to teachers - if you provided adequate citation information, or a link to it, on each answer page. I try to teach students not to trust a source if they can't verify who's responsible for the information, and a first name, with no credentials or listing of a responsible organization, just isn't enough! Thanks for considering my suggestion.

Thanks for the input! We’ve recently addressed this issue during our massive reworking of the site. You and your students may find citation info for our site at https://van.physics.illinois.edu/qa/citation-info.php.
