First, let's talk a bit about density and buoyancy.
Density is the amount of stuff or matter in a certain space. You
may have noticed that a book is alot lighter than a rock that is the
same size. That is because the rock has more matter in the same space.
Buoyancy is how well something will float. In order for something
to float, its density has to be less than whatever it is floating in.
So, the less dense something is, the more buoyant it is.
