does sound travel faster in solid liquid or gas
- Dacia (age 12)
Usually, sound moves the fastest through solids, the next fastest
through liquids, and the slowest through gases. However, there are lots
of different solids, and the speed of sound is different in different
ones. The same is true for liquids and gases. So there's no simple rule.
