Why would ice melt faster in water rather than Milk or hersheys Syrup?
Ice will melt more quickly in water because water is less dense than
either milk or Hershey's Syrup. (Milk is about 3% more dense than
regular water.) The reason that this matters is the same as for why ice melts faster in tap water than in salt water
, a question that we've actually explained already.
