I used E=mc2, and plugged in a microgram. Using 3*10^8 squared, I pulled out 5.16^-7 joules per kilogram. Is this correct?
..I'm curious as to know if I have the conversions correct.

It's a little unclear if you're discussing a microgram or a kilogram. In the SI units , 1kg*(3*10
8 m/s)
2= 9*10
16Joules.
For a microgram, you'd get 10
-9 as much, i.e. 9*10
