If you throw a ball up in the air while you are running, what will happen to the ball.

Hi there!
If you throw a ball straight up into the air while you are running, the ball will keep moving with you and you will be able to catch it again when it comes down.
Next time you are riding in a car, toss a ball straight up into the air. (You should ask your parents first, and make sure you don’t toss it too hard so it hits the top of the car). The ball goes up and then back down into your hand. It may look like the ball went straight up, but remember that the car is moving. If you would see the ball from outside the car, it would be moving forward too!
