A:
I\'m guessing that by \'magnetic\' you mean ferromagnetic, with the little magnetic moments from the atoms lining up to make a bit net magnetic moment and big magnetic fields. There are actually an infinite number of different materials that have this property, but only a few pure elements are ferromagnetic under ordinary conditions of  temperature and pressure. These are the common metals cobalt, iron and nickel and the rare-earth elements neodymium and gadolinium. Another rare-earth, dysprosium, becomes ferromagnetic when cooled.
