K-12 Science 2 Schools Traveling Science Programs: The Wonders of Physics

University of Wisconsin, Madison Madison, WI, United States
Wisconsin (and beyond...)
The Wonders of Physics Traveling Show is seen by as many as 15,000 people each year in Wisconsin and beyond. The show consists of entertaining and educational demonstrations typically used in UW-Madison's introductory physics courses. The Traveling Show visits schools, churches, scout troops, retirement communities, etc. A typical show lasts about an hour and is presented to an audience of 50-400. After the show, audience members are invited to further explore physics using our hands-on demonstrations. Multiple shows can be given in one day. We adapt the presentation to the audience, varying the explanation and activities to suite the ability level.
