K-12 Science 2 Schools Traveling Science Programs: Fun with Science

San Joaquin Valley, the greater Livermore Tri-Valley community (Livermore, Pleasanton, Dublin), and the East Bay community (East of San Francisco bay)
Presentations are conducted by scientists, engineers and techs employed at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. They conduce one-hour presnetations on school sites. Schools rotate classes through the presentations throughout the day to provide the program to entire school populations. LLNL also buses classes to its visitor's center for one-hour demonstrations and tours of the visitors center.
We link teacher professional development instruction and the Teaching Opportunities for Partners in Science (TOPS) , a program for retired scientists to work in schools as mentors and science specialists with teachers.
