K-12 Science 2 Schools Traveling Science Programs: Advancing Science
Joan & James Leitzel Center, University of New Hampshire Durham, NH, United States
Southern Maine and New Hampshire
Our program encourages hands-on learning experiences for high school science students in: Molecular Biology, UV-Vis Spectroscopy, Molecular Modeling, and now High Performance Liquid Chromatography. Our cutting edge instruments are used by teachers in the Science Technology Institutes held each summer. All Advancing Science trained teachers borrow the equipment for their students to use in their classrooms for 3 weeks each academic year. There are 4 regional teams of teachers that share our tools and their successful experiences in doing modern science in their classrooms. Out tools also support student researchers each summer at their schools or during the UNH Project SMART research experience for high school students. Call 603-862-2684 for more information.
